2. Welche Daten verarbeiten wir?

Regelzeit verarbeitet folgende personenbezogene Daten ausschließlich lokal auf deinem Gerät:

Profildaten Name, Geburtsdatum, durchschnittliche Zykluslänge, durchschnittliche Periodenlänge, Verhütungsmethode, Tracking-Ziel, Schwangerschaftsstatus, Stillstatus.

Zyklusdaten Periodenbeginn und -ende, Zykluslänge, Eisprungdatum (geschätzt oder bestätigt), Zyklusphasen.

Gesundheitsdaten (besondere Kategorie nach Art. 9 DSGVO) Symptome (24 Symptomtypen, darunter Kopfschmerzen, Krämpfe, Übelkeit, Blähungen u. a.), Schmerzniveau (0–10), Energielevel (1–10), Schlafstunden und Schlafqualität (1–5), Basaltemperatur, Zervixschleim, LH-Testergebnis, Hautbild, Periodenstärke.

Stimmungsdaten (besondere Kategorie nach Art. 9 DSGVO) 12 Stimmungstypen: glücklich, traurig, ängstlich, gereizt, ruhig, energiegeladen, müde, gestresst, emotional, motiviert, gleichgültig, dankbar.

Daten zum Sexualleben (besondere Kategorie nach Art. 9 DSGVO) Sexuelle Aktivität, Libido-Veränderungen (erhöhte/verminderte Libido, Dyspareunie).

Freitextnotizen Optionale Tagesnotizen, die beliebige persönliche Informationen enthalten können.

Kalendertermine (optional, nur lesend) Wenn du im Termin-Planer den Kalenderzugriff aktivierst, fragt die App die iOS-Berechtigung „Vollzugriff auf Kalender“ an und liest Titel, Datum und Uhrzeit deiner Termine der nächsten 28 Tage, um sie neben deinen Zyklusphasen anzuzeigen. Der Abgleich findet ausschließlich auf deinem Gerät statt. Termine werden von der App weder gespeichert noch verändert, exportiert oder übertragen. Du kannst den Zugriff jederzeit in den iOS-Einstellungen entziehen.

Widget-Daten (optional) Für die Widgets auf Home-Bildschirm und Sperrbildschirm berechnet die App den Stand der nächsten 14 Tage vor und speichert ihn als kleine Datei auf deinem Gerät: pro Tag Zyklustag, Zyklusphase, Countdown zur nächsten Periode und allgemeine Phasentipps, dazu Zyklus- und Periodenlänge, die Phasenabschnitte des Zyklusrads und die Tage des fruchtbaren Fensters. Symptome, Stimmungen, Notizen, Name oder Geburtsdatum sind nicht enthalten. Du kannst die Widgets im Profil über „Zyklusdaten in Widgets zeigen“ ausschalten.

Siri und Kurzbefehle (optional) Mit dem Kurzbefehl „Aktuelle Zyklusphase“ kannst du Siri nach deinem Zyklustag und deiner Phase fragen. Die App beantwortet die Frage ausschließlich aus den lokalen Daten auf deinem Gerät und nennt höchstens Zyklustag, Phase und das Vorhersagefenster für die nächste Periode, keine Symptome oder Messwerte. Die Verarbeitung deiner gesprochenen Anfrage übernimmt Siri (Apple); dafür gilt die Datenschutzerklärung von Apple. Der Kurzbefehl antwortet nur bei entsperrtem Gerät und nicht, solange die App-Sperre aktiv ist oder keine Einwilligung vorliegt.

App-Sperre (optional) Du kannst die App mit Face ID, Touch ID oder deinem Gerätecode sperren. Die Prüfung übernimmt iOS; die App erhält nur das Ergebnis (entsperrt oder nicht) und hat keinen Zugriff auf biometrische Daten.

Erinnerungen (optional) Auf Wunsch plant die App lokale Mitteilungen auf deinem Gerät (Perioden-Erinnerung, tägliche Eintrags-Erinnerung). Dafür ist die iOS-Berechtigung für Mitteilungen nötig; Push-Server werden dafür nicht genutzt.

Einwilligungsdaten Die App protokolliert deine Einwilligungen (Datenverarbeitung, Mitteilungen) lokal als Nachweis: Art der Einwilligung, Status (erteilt oder widerrufen), Zeitpunkt der Erteilung und gegebenenfalls des Widerrufs, App-Version, Betriebssystem-Version und die Version dieser Datenschutzerklärung. Jede Änderung wird als neuer Eintrag gespeichert, bestehende Einträge werden nicht überschrieben, und alle Einträge sind Teil des Datenexports.

3. Rechtsgrundlage

Die Verarbeitung deiner Daten erfolgt auf folgenden Rechtsgrundlagen:

Ausdrückliche Einwilligung (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. a i. V. m. Art. 9 Abs. 2 lit. a DSGVO) Für die Verarbeitung besonderer Kategorien personenbezogener Daten — insbesondere Gesundheitsdaten und Daten zum Sexualleben — holen wir deine ausdrückliche Einwilligung ein. Ohne diese Einwilligung ist die Nutzung der App nicht möglich, da das Zyklustracking ohne Verarbeitung dieser Daten nicht funktioniert.

Besondere Kategorien nach Art. 9 DSGVO Nahezu alle von Regelzeit verarbeiteten Daten fallen unter Art. 9 Abs. 1 DSGVO (Gesundheitsdaten, Daten zum Sexualleben). Ihre Verarbeitung ist grundsätzlich verboten, es sei denn, du erteilst eine ausdrückliche Einwilligung.

Nachweispflicht (Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. c DSGVO) Die Speicherung deiner Einwilligungsnachweise (Consent-Records) erfolgt aufgrund unserer rechtlichen Verpflichtung nach Art. 7 Abs. 1 DSGVO.

4. Speicherort und Speicherdauer

Lokale Speicherung Alle deine Daten werden ausschließlich lokal auf deinem Gerät in einer verschlüsselten Datenbank (SwiftData/SQLite) gespeichert. Es findet keine Übermittlung an externe Server statt. Alle Berechnungen und Vorhersagen erfolgen direkt auf deinem iPhone.

Widget-Daten (App Group) Der vorberechnete Widget-Stand liegt als Datei im gemeinsamen App-Group-Container (group.com.regelzeit.app), auf den nur die Regelzeit-App und ihre Widget-Erweiterung zugreifen können. Die Widget-Erweiterung öffnet nie die Datenbank selbst. Die Datei bleibt auf dem Gerät, wird von der App aktualisiert und enthält nach „Alle Daten löschen“ oder nach Widerruf der Einwilligung keine Zyklusdaten mehr.

Internationale Datenübermittlung Es findet keine internationale Datenübermittlung statt. Alle Daten verbleiben ausschließlich auf deinem lokalen Gerät.

Speicherdauer Deine Daten werden gespeichert, solange die App auf deinem Gerät installiert ist. Bei Deinstallation der App werden alle lokal gespeicherten Daten gelöscht.

Manuelle Löschung Du kannst jederzeit über Profil > Datenschutz > „Alle Daten löschen“ sämtliche Daten entfernen.

Einwilligungsnachweise Consent-Records werden gemäß Art. 7 Abs. 1 DSGVO auch nach einer Datenlöschung aufbewahrt, um die erteilte Einwilligung nachweisen zu können.

5. Deine Rechte

Du hast folgende Rechte bezüglich deiner personenbezogenen Daten:

Auskunftsrecht (Art. 15 DSGVO) Du kannst jederzeit Auskunft über deine gespeicherten Daten erhalten. Nutze hierzu die Funktion „Daten exportieren“ in der App unter Profil > Datenschutz.

Recht auf Berichtigung (Art. 16 DSGVO) Du kannst deine Profildaten (Name, Geburtsdatum, Zykluseinstellungen) jederzeit direkt in der App bearbeiten.

Recht auf Löschung (Art. 17 DSGVO) Du kannst alle deine Daten jederzeit über „Alle Daten löschen“ in der App unwiderruflich entfernen.

Recht auf Einschränkung der Verarbeitung (Art. 18 DSGVO) Du kannst die Verarbeitung deiner Daten einschränken lassen.

Recht auf Datenübertragbarkeit (Art. 20 DSGVO) Du kannst deine Daten in einem maschinenlesbaren Format (JSON/CSV) exportieren. Nutze hierzu die Funktion „Daten exportieren“ in der App.

Widerspruchsrecht (Art. 21 DSGVO) Du hast das Recht, der Verarbeitung deiner Daten zu widersprechen.

Widerruf der Einwilligung (Art. 7 Abs. 3 DSGVO) Du kannst deine Einwilligung jederzeit über Profil > Datenschutz > „Einwilligungen verwalten“ widerrufen. Der Widerruf berührt nicht die Rechtmäßigkeit der bis dahin erfolgten Verarbeitung. Der Widerruf der Einwilligung „Datenverarbeitung“ wirkt sofort: Widgets zeigen keine Zyklusdaten mehr, Siri beantwortet keine Anfragen, geplante Erinnerungen werden gelöscht und die App bleibt gesperrt, bis du erneut einwilligst oder alle Daten löschst.

6. Automatisierte Entscheidungsfindung

Zyklusvorhersagen Regelzeit berechnet Vorhersagen für deine nächste Periode, deinen Eisprung und deine Zyklusphasen anhand der Kalendermethode (statistische Berechnung auf Basis deiner bisherigen Zyklusdaten).

Kein Profiling im Sinne von Art. 22 DSGVO Es werden keine automatisierten Entscheidungen getroffen, die dir gegenüber rechtliche Wirkung entfalten oder dich in ähnlicher Weise erheblich beeinträchtigen.

Wichtiger Hinweis Alle Vorhersagen sind Schätzungen und stellen keine medizinischen Diagnosen dar. Bitte wende dich für medizinische Fragen an eine Ärztin oder einen Arzt.

7. Datensicherheit

Wir setzen folgende technische Maßnahmen zum Schutz deiner Daten ein:

Dateischutz Die Datenbank samt Hilfsdateien und der Widget-Stand werden mit dem Dateischutz von iOS verschlüsselt gespeichert (Schutzklasse „Complete until first user authentication“): Nach einem Neustart des Geräts sind sie erst lesbar, nachdem du es einmal entsperrt hast. Exportdateien werden mit der Schutzklasse „Complete“ abgelegt und sind nur bei entsperrtem Gerät lesbar.

Backup-Ausschluss Die Datenbank samt Hilfsdateien (WAL/SHM) und der Widget-Stand sind vom iCloud-Backup und vom Computer-Backup (Finder/iTunes) ausgeschlossen. Der Ausschluss wird bei jedem App-Start gesetzt und geprüft. Deine Daten gelangen so in kein Backup; nach Geräteverlust oder Neuinstallation lassen sie sich deshalb nur über einen vorher angelegten Datenexport wiederherstellen.

App-Switcher-Schutz Beim Wechsel in den Hintergrund legt die App eine neutrale Schutzansicht über den gesamten Inhalt, auch über geöffnete Dialoge und die Tastatur, damit im App-Switcher nichts lesbar ist. Bei aktiver App-Sperre bleibt diese Ansicht bestehen, bis du dich entsperrt hast.

Widgets auf dem Sperrbildschirm Alle Widget-Inhalte, die Zyklustag, Phase oder Countdown verraten, sind als vertraulich markiert. Wenn du in den iOS-Einstellungen (Face ID & Code) den Zugriff auf Widgets im Sperrzustand deaktivierst, blendet iOS diese Werte auf dem Sperrbildschirm und in StandBy aus. Bei aktiver App-Sperre enthält der Widget-Stand standardmäßig keine Zyklusdaten; du kannst die Anzeige im Profil über „Auch bei aktiver App-Sperre zeigen“ ausdrücklich freigeben.

8. Analyse- und Tracking-Dienste Dritter

Regelzeit verwendet keine Analyse-, Werbe- oder Tracking-SDKs von Drittanbietern. Es werden keine Daten an Dritte weitergegeben. Die App enthält keine Werbung. Es werden keine Nutzungsdaten, Absturzberichte oder Telemetriedaten an den Entwickler oder an Dritte übermittelt. Deine Nutzung der App ist vollständig privat.

9. Änderungen der Datenschutzerklärung

Diese Datenschutzerklärung trägt eine Versionsnummer, die die App zusammen mit deiner Einwilligung speichert. Bei einer neuen Version vergleicht die App beim nächsten Start die Versionen und holt deine Einwilligung erneut ein. Die jeweils aktuelle Version findest du jederzeit unter Profil > App-Info > Datenschutzerklärung und unter regelzeit.com/datenschutz.

10. Beschwerderecht

Du hast das Recht, dich bei einer Datenschutz-Aufsichtsbehörde zu beschweren, wenn du der Ansicht bist, dass die Verarbeitung deiner Daten gegen die DSGVO verstößt.

A data protection officer has not been appointed as there is no obligation to do so (Art. 37 GDPR).

2. What data do we process?

Regelzeit processes the following personal data exclusively on your device (locally):

Profile data Name, date of birth, average cycle length, average period length, contraception method, tracking goal, pregnancy status, breastfeeding status.

Cycle data Period start and end dates, cycle length, ovulation date (estimated or confirmed), cycle phases.

Health data (special category under Art. 9 GDPR) Symptoms (24 symptom types, including headaches, cramps, nausea, bloating, and others), pain level (0–10), energy level (1–10), sleep hours and sleep quality (1–5), basal body temperature, cervical mucus, LH test result, skin condition, period flow intensity.

Mood data (special category under Art. 9 GDPR) 12 mood types: happy, sad, anxious, irritable, calm, energetic, tired, stressed, emotional, motivated, indifferent, grateful.

Data concerning sex life (special category under Art. 9 GDPR) Sexual activity, libido changes (increased/decreased libido, dyspareunia).

Free-text notes Optional daily notes that may contain any personal information.

Calendar appointments (optional, read-only) If you enable calendar access in the planner, the app requests the iOS "Full access to calendar" permission and reads the title, date and time of your appointments for the next 28 days to display them alongside your cycle phases. The matching takes place exclusively on your device. Appointments are never stored, modified, exported or transmitted by the app. You can revoke access at any time in the iOS settings.

Widget data (optional) For the Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, the app precalculates the next 14 days and stores them as a small file on your device: for each day the cycle day, cycle phase, countdown to the next period and general phase tips, plus cycle and period length, the phase segments of the cycle wheel and the days of the fertile window. Symptoms, moods, notes, name or date of birth are not included. You can turn the widgets off in your profile via "Show cycle data in widgets".

Siri and Shortcuts (optional) With the "Current Cycle Phase" shortcut you can ask Siri for your cycle day and phase. The app answers exclusively from the local data on your device and states at most the cycle day, phase and the prediction window for the next period, never symptoms or measurements. Your spoken request is processed by Siri (Apple); Apple's privacy policy applies to that processing. The shortcut only answers while the device is unlocked, and not while the app lock is active or no consent has been given.

App lock (optional) You can lock the app with Face ID, Touch ID or your device passcode. iOS performs the check; the app only receives the result (unlocked or not) and has no access to biometric data.

Reminders (optional) On request, the app schedules local notifications on your device (period reminder, daily logging reminder). This requires the iOS notification permission and involves no push servers.

Consent records The app logs your consents (data processing, notifications) locally as evidence: type of consent, status (granted or withdrawn), time of granting and, where applicable, of withdrawal, app version, operating system version and the version of this privacy policy. Every change is stored as a new entry, existing entries are never overwritten, and all entries are part of the data export.

3. Legal basis

The processing of your data is based on the following legal grounds:

Explicit consent (Art. 6(1)(a) in conjunction with Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR) For the processing of special categories of personal data — in particular health data and data concerning sex life — we obtain your explicit consent. Without this consent, use of the app is not possible, as cycle tracking cannot function without processing this data.

Special categories under Art. 9 GDPR Nearly all data processed by Regelzeit falls under Art. 9(1) GDPR (health data, data concerning sex life). Processing of such data is generally prohibited unless you provide explicit consent.

Documentation obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR) The storage of your consent records is based on our legal obligation under Art. 7(1) GDPR.

4. Storage location and retention period

Local storage All your data is stored exclusively on your device in an encrypted database (SwiftData/SQLite). No data is transmitted to external servers. All calculations and predictions are performed directly on your iPhone.

Widget data (App Group) The precalculated widget data is stored as a file in the shared App Group container (group.com.regelzeit.app), which only the Regelzeit app and its widget extension can access. The widget extension never opens the database itself. The file stays on the device, is updated by the app and no longer contains any cycle data after "Delete all data" or after withdrawal of consent.

International data transfers No international data transfers take place. All data remains exclusively on your local device.

Retention period Your data is stored for as long as the app is installed on your device. When the app is uninstalled, all locally stored data is deleted.

Manual deletion You can delete all data at any time via Profile > Privacy > "Delete all data".

Consent records In accordance with Art. 7(1) GDPR, consent records are retained even after data deletion in order to document the consent that was given.

5. Your rights

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR) You can obtain information about your stored data at any time. Use the "Export data" function in the app under Profile > Privacy.

Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) You can edit your profile data (name, date of birth, cycle settings) directly in the app at any time.

Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR) You can irrevocably delete all your data at any time via "Delete all data" in the app.

Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR) You can request the restriction of processing of your data.

Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) You can export your data in a machine-readable format (JSON/CSV). Use the "Export data" function in the app.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR) You have the right to object to the processing of your data.

Withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3) GDPR) You can withdraw your consent at any time via Profile > Privacy > "Manage consents". Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal. Withdrawing the "Data processing" consent takes effect immediately: widgets no longer show cycle data, Siri does not answer requests, scheduled reminders are removed and the app remains locked until you consent again or delete all data.

6. Automated decision-making

Cycle predictions Regelzeit calculates predictions for your next period, ovulation, and cycle phases using the calendar method (statistical calculation based on your historical cycle data).

No profiling within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR No automated decisions are made that produce legal effects concerning you or similarly significantly affect you.

Important notice All predictions are estimates and do not constitute medical diagnoses. Please consult a doctor for any medical questions.

7. Data security

We employ the following technical measures to protect your data:

File protection The database including its auxiliary files and the widget data are stored encrypted using iOS file protection (protection class "Complete until first user authentication"): after a device restart they can only be read once you have unlocked the device for the first time. Export files are written with the "Complete" protection class and can only be read while the device is unlocked.

Backup exclusion The database including its auxiliary files (WAL/SHM) and the widget data are excluded from iCloud backups and from computer backups (Finder/iTunes). The exclusion is set and verified at every app launch. Your data therefore never ends up in a backup; after device loss or reinstallation it can only be restored from a data export you created beforehand.

App-switcher protection When the app moves to the background, a neutral cover is placed over all content, including open dialogs and the keyboard, so that nothing is readable in the app switcher. While the app lock is active, this cover remains until you have unlocked the app.

Widgets on the Lock Screen All widget content that reveals cycle day, phase or countdown is marked as private. If you disable access to widgets while locked in the iOS settings (Face ID & Passcode), iOS hides these values on the Lock Screen and in StandBy. While the app lock is active, the widget data contains no cycle data by default; you can explicitly allow it in your profile via "Also show while app is locked".

8. Third-party analytics and tracking

Regelzeit does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No data is shared with third parties. The app does not contain any advertising. No usage data, crash reports, or telemetry data is transmitted to the developer or to any third party. Your usage of the app is completely private.

9. Changes to this privacy policy

This privacy policy carries a version number that the app stores together with your consent. When a new version is released, the app compares the versions at the next launch and asks for your consent again. The current version is always available under Profile > App Info > Privacy Policy and at regelzeit.com/datenschutz.

10. Right to lodge a complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates the GDPR.
